About these trends
Records come from completed CollegeFootballData games since 2013. The feed checks the last 10, 15, 20, 30 and 50 qualifying games in each situation, with at least 10 decided results and a 65% rate in one direction. Only situations played within the past year that also match a team’s upcoming game in the current week appear.
Strongest first balances the record with sample size, so a longer track record carries more weight. Similar trends are combined to keep the feed varied. These are selected historical patterns, not probabilities of winning the next bet.
Pushes stay in the record but are excluded from percentages. Missing required lines are skipped. Lines are stored CFBD snapshots, with consensus preferred; they are not guaranteed closing lines. “View games” shows every counted result and its line source.
After-win, after-loss and rest situations use the previous completed game in the same season. The current week is the first college-football week with an upcoming game in the published season. Teams on a bye and games in later weeks are excluded; games drop out at kickoff. Situations use this week’s matchup and the latest daily line. Favorite/underdog trends wait for a spread to be available. Coach and quarterback histories are not included.
